Bukchon Village Library

This tiny traditional house, or hanok, is the local library for the residents of the historic Bukchon neighbourhood in Seoul.

Located on a narrow winding lane in the heart of Bukchon Hanok Village, the library is set in a small garden and has views over the rooftops of the traditional houses.

It's such a peaceful space for a library, you can feel the summer breeze and gaze out at the garden, the view framed by traditional screens made of wood and handcrafted paper (hanji).

We highly recommend a visit to this hidden treasure, a secret corner of Seoul.
