Cafe Onion

One of the largest and most popular hanok cafes in Seoul is Cafe Onion near Anguk Station in the centre of the city.

Once a grand villa, the interiors were stripped right back in this raw renovation which features the exposed timber structure and lots of glass.

Loved by Koreans and foreign tourists alike, on most days you have to get there early to get a seat. But it's well worth it for the atmosphere, as well as the delicious coffee and baked treats.
