White Mini Octagon Cups - Pair

These are so light to hold.  Small and delicate, the graceful tapering curves are perfectly suited to the medium of pure White Korean Porcelain.

There is a slight sheen to the transparent glaze, and some tiny dark spots here and there.  The surface is smooth, and the artist's signature is inscribed on the unglazed underside.

Korean White Porcelain, or Baekja, was the choice of royalty from the early Joseon era (1392-1897)  for its high quality and simple elegance embodying the Confucian values of purity and modesty.  It is still crafted today using the same centuries-old techniques.
